The National Library of Trebinje is organizing a promotion of the poetry collection Byzantine Blue by author Vera Basor on Tuesday, April 21, at 7:00 p.m. This collection presents subtle, emotional, and intellectually profound poems that explore the space between past and present, light and darkness, silence and the spoken word. Byzantine Blue is a poetic journey through inner landscapes, imbued with symbolism, spirituality, and a powerful lyrical voice. Vera Basor is a writer from Trebinje whose poems have received numerous awards and have been included in the anthology Herzegovinian Wreath. She writes poetry and short stories, and her literary style is characterized by reflection, emotional depth, and rich symbolism, often centered on themes of memory, identity, spirituality, and one's homeland. To date, she has published the poetry collections Wandering Scents, On the Wings of Urilo, and The Time of Sunflowers. Her fourth book, Byzantine Blue, was published by the National Library of Trebinje at the end of last year. At the book promotion, which will be held on the library's premises, the audience will also hear remarks from Professor Koča Govedarica, in addition to the author herself.
