Love

Call me so we can be silent,
so we can remember everything from the moment time began.
Yours and mine.

When some gentle breeze
wrapped the heart in kisses,
and the world smelled of joyful moments and passing minutes.

Sometimes at night,
when the heavenly meadows begin to tremble,
soft nocturnal tenderness descends upon our palms,
leaving traces of the sky
and quiet memories of the universe.
Yours and mine.

Sometimes, in this room filled with darkness,
a small lamp flickers,
and for who knows which time,
the heavens open their doors
to pour their grace upon the heart
where prayer is hidden.

Those traces, those delicate lines
that join and divide two worlds,
protect us from the flood of forgetting.

Call me so we can be silent,
so we can watch the rose-colored light
fall across the eyelids of our time.

Then the fear disappears
that everything passing must turn to dust.

Because love
is the strongest lamp of all.
