A Grain of Truth

Man was fashioned from the hidden face of truth, and the human soul longs to be free.

Everything we have today seems to offer us freedom, yet in truth it offers only its illusion. The more we are given, the more we desire; and the more we desire, the more deeply we are bound.

In One Hundred Years of Solitude, Gabriel García Márquez gives us a world that contains everything: love, death, war, desire, and the terrible truth that we keep making the same mistakes — because we are too human to truly learn.

Are we tired of being human?
